A little while ago, I was commissioned to come up with some embroidered wall art to celebrate the birth of a little baby girl. Equipped with a photo of her adorable nursery for reference (where it would finally be displayed), I started out with spray painting a vintage wooden frame white, in order to match the decor.
Next was the design. Along with her name and birth date, I made room for a trio of ribbon roses in the centre of the design – a technique I absolutely love, but haven’t had the opportunity to do in a little while. Selecting thread and ribbon that complemented the colour scheme in the nursery, I’m really pleased with the final result. I’m told Emma’s parents loved the frame, though the jury’s still out on whether little Emma will agree!
