Fresh from the madness running up to Patches artisan fair on December 1st, comes the Christmas order rush. With not long to go before I close up shop for two weeks for my festive holidays on December 21st, there’s plenty going on. Before I can share any of that however, I’m so pleased to finally able to share a selection of photos of the project that filled many a day’s work pre-market craziness: custom souvenirs for a winter wedding.
It was almost a year ago that bride-to-be Anne Marie came to me with the idea of designing personalised wedding souvenirs for her guests, based off my Christmas tree ornaments last Christmas. With a colour palette to match her wedding colours of pale green, silver and gold, we came up with three different designs for Christmas tree decorations bearing the words ‘Peace’, ‘Joy’ and ‘Love’ which her guests could choose from.
With quite a bit of preparation and a large number of souvenirs to make, the project ended up taking about a month to complete, but I’m so pleased with the resulting fairytale-like ornaments that to me, they were worth every minute.
The happy couple celebrated their wedding yesterday, and I’d like to take this opportunity to wish them every happiness in their married life together.
Photos, once again, by the lovely Richard Muscat Azzopardi.
