As has been the case for a couple of years now, the festive season is always the busiest time for me, but the one at the end of last year takes the cake for my busiest time ever, ever.
Besides customers ordering Christmas presents in the run up to the holidays, which accounts for the majority of the madness, I also take part in Patches Christmas fair, which is generally held a few weeks before December 25th. So far, it’s been just the one craft fair I’ve been able to commit to due to time constraints, but even that takes weeks of preparation to make enough stock for my stall.
Now that the craziness is over and I’ve been able to return to working at a normal human speed (I still have orders, but with reasonable deadlines ;p) I’d like to share a few favourite items from the festive season with you. I’m always excited to work on both new designs which I have total free rein over, as well as custom orders for clients, and while I never put out anything I’m not 100 per cent happy with, every maker is bound to have their favourites!
Here are a few of mine from recent projects… enjoy!
